Alternative Press Collection   Located in Minneapolis, MN, The Minneapolis Community & Technical College Library has an alternative press collection consisting mostly of materials produced by publishers who traditionally have been referred to as leftist, or progressive. However, the Library also collects some material published by the alternative right. 95

Northeast Historic Film: Services and Stock Footage   NHF helps individuals and organizations to safeguard film and videotape. Our staff members are trained provide direct assistance or referrals as appropriate. We are dedicated to film preservation and reuse of material when permission is available. The fees for reuse of the collections help support costs of storage and preservation. NHF provides footage for a wide range of projects from curriculum development to broadcast. 95 

Vanderbilt Television News Archive   The Television News Archive collection at Vanderbilt University is the world's most extensive and complete archive of television news. 95

Ad*Access Project   The Ad*Access Project presents images and database information for over 7,000 advertisements printed in U.S. and Canadian newspapers and magazines between 1911 and 1955. Ad*Access concentrates on five main subject areas: Radio, Television, Transportation, Beauty and Hygiene, and World War II, providing a coherent view of a number of major campaigns and companies through images preserved in one particular advertising collection available at Duke University. 104 

Margaret Herrick Library   An overview of the comprehensive film research library supported by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Includes detailed descriptions of the special collections holdings and a link to the on-line card catalog, as well as information about accessing the library's collections. 104 

Museum of Broadcast Communication   Located in Chicago, IL. Physical site is currently closed and due to reopen in 2006 featuring expanded archives (85,000 hours of broadcast programming) and exhibit galleries, increased seminars and public events, and a radio and television studio. Its Website features the full text of the Encyclopedia of Television. 104

UCLA Film Archive   One of the largest collections of media materials in the United States and the largest of any university in the world. Its vaults hold more than 220,000 motion picture and television titles and 27 million feet of newsreel footage. 105

The focus of ‘filmarchives online’ is non-fiction material; i.e. documentary and educational films, newsreels, commercial advertising films, scientific, industrial, travelogue, and sports films, as well as animation films. 107 

Archive of American Television   The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation's Archive has now made many of its hundreds of filmed longform interviews with television legends of all professions available online. This official blog updates users on the scope of the collection and provides guideance on how to access specific interviews. 108

Wisconsin Center for Film and Theater Research   Based in Madison, WI, WCFTR is one of the world's major archives of research materials relating to the entertainment industry. 110 

William K. Everson Collection   William K. Everson was Professor of Cinema Studies at New York University from 1972 to 1996. He also taught at the New School for Social Research and the School of Visual Arts. Throughout his life he amassed one of the largest private film collections in the world, and many films from his collection were screened at film series he regularly programmed in New York City and around the world. This website highlights some of the material from Everson's personal papers, particularly the detailed programme notes he wrote for series such as those at the New School and the Theodore Huff Memorial Film Society. In addition, other material he collected such as press kits, film stills, and photographs can be found here. 138 

BFIwatch   An independent blog dedicated to spreading the word about events affecting the British Film Institute, which is currently going through the most radical restructuring in its history. 144
